In 1996, a bright, young and brilliant writer embarked on a book tour for Infinite Jest (Abacus, 2007). Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself is born from interviews conducted on that book tour, by Rolling Stone contributing editor David Lipsky. Following Foster's tragic suicide in 2008, Rolling Stone published an award-winning piece written by Lipsky, based on those previously unpublished interviews. This is the first and only book in which Wallace's life is explored in his own words.
