The second volume in the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation Forum series. As a continuation of the conversations and debates initiated at the forum in Sydney, 2007, Nicholas Jose, Britta Erickson et al. explor the current and future role of private foundations in sustaining contemporary art in the Asia-Pacific region. As the region continues to undergo a period of rapid development, this study is more necessary than ever in establishing the nature of art production in the area. Also considered are the economics, regional and international context of art production.
