Krzysztof Zielinski, one of the most interesting of the younger generation of Polish photographers, here focuses on the primary school he attended as a child in the small Polish town of Wabrzezno. The school was built in 1962 as part of a major government development plan. Essentially built as part of a propaganda plan, the new schools were presented as a gift from the Communist party to the nation. The idea of hometown, of return and confrontation with the past are dominant concepts in Zielinski's work.
