This is Hazel Campbell's first collection of short stories for children, although she has published collections for adult readers. Born and brought up in Kingston, Jamaica, she worked as a teacher for many years before starting her own communications company. Some of these eight stories reflect memories of her mother's tales of life in a rural district, while others cover her own experiences growing up in Kingston.
