The phenomenon of globalisation has influenced the African social and cultural landscape in a variety of ways. Yet its effect on women's lives has not figured prominently in African scholarship. This edited volume attempts to change this by bringing together theoretical and conceptual approaches that place African women at the centre of a discourse on global societies. The volume deconstructs important issues and provides perspectives on understanding and transforming women's experiences in Africa.
