Summer has come to Elkview, Alaska, bringing twenty hours of sunlight every day and an influx of tourists from all over the world. When one of the guests at Jensen's Elkview Inn says her cousin Liam, a local fisherman, has disappeared, Annie Jensen knows just who to reel in to investigate: her best friend, owner of the Bear Claw Diner and amateur sleuth, Charlie Cooke. As Charlie dives into the search, she quickly realises there's something fishy going on. When Liam is found drowned in Wonder Lake, Charlie is determined to solve the case before anyone else gets hurt.
