When LA native Tosh Berman left the States behind, moving with his wife to Japan to care for her mother, he was inspired to document his experiences; The Plum in Mr. Blum's Pudding is the stunning result. Gracefully moving between the quirky and earnest, these poems describe the liminal space of the foreigner caught between the strange and the familiar. Originally published in 1990 as a small hardcover edition of 200 copies, this new edition acts to preserve this work and features an introduction by art critic and curator Kristine McKenna, and afterword by Ruth Bernstein.
