This book provides a broader platform for studying relations between African States and China by moving away from the Panda Huggers and the Fear Factor dichotomy. It attempts to tease out the good that is manifest in these relations and to establish possibilities on how to correct perceived asymmetries between Africa and China. The multidisciplinary nature of this book makes it relevant to a wider readership as it approaches the subject of 'Afro-Chinese' relations from a variety of accessible perspectives.
