A socio-anthropological study of the wake and waking habits that early Tobago folk practised during their funerary rites. The study not only deals with these people and their rituals, but also presents a perspective of the way other tribes and early peoples dealt with death and the hereafter. It also provides an insight into the way superstition and the supernatural constantly played a part in these customs.
