I'd Do It All Again is Sir Bob Murray's remarkable story, from his upbringing in the North East to a hugely successful career in business and more than two decades at the heart of Sunderland AFC. A lifelong Sunderland supporter, Sir Bob became chairman of the club in 1986 and went on to oversee one of the most eventful and transformative periods in its history: promotions and relegations, Wembley appearances, the move from Roker Park and, above all, the creation of the Stadium of Light and Academy of Light. Away from football, he built a highly successful business career and has devoted much of his life to giving something back to the region through the Foundation of Light and Beacon of Light. This newly updated edition brings Sir Bob's story right up to summer 2026, including Sunderland's return to the Premier League and his reflections on the club, the city and the extraordinary journey they have shared. Candid, entertaining and full of stories from a lifetime in football and business, I'd Do It All Again is the story of a man whose ambitions helped transform Sunderland AFC and whose legacy reaches far beyond the football pitch. Proceeds from the book go to the Foundation of Light.
