CHEERIO Editions are a series of small-format pamphlets published by CHEERIO on a quarterly basis (January, April , August, November). Each edition will feature one commissioned writer, whose piece will respond to the annual guiding theme, which contributors are invited to interpret freely. These editions will be published alongside our existing programme, allowing CHEERIO to platform more voices and themes. The first CHEERIO Editions outreach volume will be produced in partnership with Friends of Palestinian Universities (FPU) and guest-edited in collaboration with Heba Hayek, who is curating the contributors. This special edition will bring together four writers whose relationships to memory have been shaped by war, survival and displacement. Alongside the writing, CHEERIO will commission an artist from Gaza whose practice engages with memory and displacement, providing a visual counterpart to the texts.
