About the book

No one captured the teen portion of the |Me Decade| as poignantly as John Hughes. Molly Ringwald was an everygirl with better hair and flawless skin and Jon Cryer's Duckie was a beacon of hope for every geek. Pretty In Pink, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off: these mini-masterpieces of love, longing, angst and self-discovery deftly illuminated the anxieties of an entire generation. Here, high-profile writers contribute essays exploring the personal and generational impact of Hughes' teen oeuvre.
