It's the first day of school and Elizabeti is excited. She can hardly sit still while Mama braids her hair. She puts on her new uniform and feels her shiny new shoes. School must surely be a very special place! Yet when Elizabeti arrives at school, she feels shy. She misses her family and wishes she had stayed home. As the day progresses Elizabeti is happy to learn a new game in the schoolyard and how to count in class, she makes new friends and helps in the school garden. Best of all, at home that evening Elizabeti can share what she learned at school with her family.
