9 World Heritage sites with diverse attributes are described, explained and illustrated as a means of unveiling and elucidating the essence of Korean culture to the rest of the world. Dr Kim is a cultural anthropologist who conceived this pair of books out of his lecture series on 'understanding world heritage in Korea' as a means of increasing awareness of Korean culture on the international stage.
