About the book
Published to coincide with the release of No Such Thing, Hartley's first full feature since 1997's Henry Fool, this guide to Hartley's career and films is written by the director of Trouble and Desire, a Hal Hartley documentary. Having interviewed Harltey extensively for the film, Wood offers the first text to concentrate soley on the work of this esoteric New Yorker, a peer to such distinctive and admired independent directors as Jim Jarmusch and Kevin Smith.
