About the book
In the midst of a financial crisis, the SFPD fires Adrian Monk as a consultant. Monk figures he can live off his savings for a while, until Natalie finds out that he has invested his money with Bob Sebes, the charismatic leader of Reinier Investments who has recently been arrested on charges of fraud. All of Sebes clients have been completely wiped out, including Monk. And when the key witness in the case against Sebes is found dead, Monk is convinced that Sebes is the one who did it.
