About the book
No Mercy is a retrospective of all the major bodies of work that form the career of Finnish photographer Jouko Lehtola (1963-2010). Whilst Lehtola explored a great variety of themes, presented together for the first time they form a unified journey of both artist and audience. Beginning in the 90s, Lehtola became an established music photographer, yet as time progressed his work became more sombre and socially critical, reflecting the feeling of the Finnish urban youth. This collection is a celebration of both the individual and collective.
