Otherworld dreams of a new affinity between the human and the non-human, the organic and the inorganic, and transforms existing rankings. Otherworld is set in a structure of youth and love with aspects of magic, mysticism and esotericism. Like youth itself, Hertta Kiiski's photographs occupy a precarious state between daydream and being driven. With its mix of analogue snapshots and staged, digitally edited portraits from a period of seven years, the book weaves together the imaginary and the everyday.
