Kebedech Tekleab's book 'Sutafie' is the poet's second book of poetry. All the poems in the book were written while Tekleab was living in the United States of America following her release from ten years of imprisonment in Somalia's concentration camps. While struggling to relink her connectedness to the world that had been broken for years, the poet's observation of life became influences for the poems included in 'Sutafie.' Losses and achievements, love and despair, war and accord, displacement and settlement, intertwined with the global and the personal are explored by observing their impacts on individuals, including her. The poems are Tekleab's inner dialogue with herself on challenging and benign issues. This book is in Amharic.
