Focusing on the intellectual dimension of Afrocentricity, the contributors to this volume argue that it is best understood as a paradigm consisting of three distinct but related aspects: the affective/cognitive/conative; structural: and functional. Focusing on the first of these three, the authors look at the metaphysical foundations of Afrocentricity and the sociological dimension of the Afrocentric paradigm. An innovative collection, this work will clarify an exciting, but often misunderstood concern in academia.
