This catalogue accompanies the first major presentation of Dada in Norway. Dada is one of the most daring art movements of the twentieth century, and a profoundly innovative period in art history which continues to impact future generations of artists. The exhibition pays tribute to the significance of Kurt Schwitters's first Merz construction and the one and only First International Dada Fair in Berlin one hundred years after. Contributions comprise essays by Ana Maria Bresciani, Ralf Burmeister, Oda Wildhagen Gjessing, Ruth Hemus, and Michael White. Chronology and artist biographies by Karen Monica Reini. Design by Snohetta.
