Uly has no interest in politics. He just wants to hang out with his new girlfriend, Sallie. His sister Regina feels differently. She is fed up with the way white school presidential candidate Leona talks about Black students. So Regina decides to run against Leona... Sallie has no interest in managing her sister Leona's campaign, but Leona is practically her only family. When Leona is accused of running a racist campaign that targets the school's students of colour - including Sallie's boyfriend, Uly - Sallie wants to give her the benefit of the doubt.
