ECW Press is an independent Canadian publisher producing a mix of about fifty literary and commercial books each year. Based in Toronto, our titles delve into fiction, poetry, mysteries, young adult fiction, memoirs, music, TV and film, popular science, wrestling, and sports. Arising from the journal Essays in Canadian Writing that began in 1974, ECW Press made its mark with a strong academic list, before focusing on high-quality trade titles for world audiences. Since then, its list has become renown for its award-winning writing and design (most recently, the Scribe Award to Kevin J. Anderson for Clockwork Angels).
